THERESA PCP is a European initiative that aims to tackle one of today’s most urgent challenges: hospital wastewater pollution and antimicrobial resistance. The project will drive the development of innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective on-site treatment systems to remove hazardous substances, including antibiotics and resistant bacteria, before they reach the environment. By uniting leading hospitals, research centres, and procurement experts across Europe, THERESA PCP aims to protect ecosystems, biodiversity, and public health while setting new standards for greener healthcare infrastructures.
